Bears to host bowling benefit Sept. 13

Bears fans can kick off the season by bowling with some of their favorite players.

The team will host the 2016 Bears Bowl presented by CJ Wilson Mazda and ZoomZoomNation.com Tuesday night, Sept. 13, at Pinstripes in Northbrook.

Among those scheduled to attend are Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan, punter Pat O'Donnell, receiver Marquess Wilson, defensive back Demontre Hurst, defensive end Mitch Unrein and Unrein's wife, Corey Cogdell-Unrein, who won a bronze medal in this summer's Olympics in trap shooting. Other Bears players are expected to be on hand as well.

Also planning to participate in the event are Liz Johnson, current PWBA US Open Champion and current PWBA Player of the year; and AJ Johnson, a young rising star on the PBA Tour.

Guests will enjoy dinner and cocktails while mingling and competing with current and former Bears players. All proceeds will benefit Bears Care, the charitable arm of Chicago Bears. Bears Care supports targeted programs in the areas of education, youth athletics and health and wellness.

Tickets and lane sponsorships are now available. Click here for more information.
