The Chicago Bears on Monday announced that the club has re-signed defensive back Jaylon Jones to a one-year contract.
Jones returns to Chicago in 2026 after spending the first four seasons of his career with the franchise (2022-25). Since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022, Jones has appeared in 56 career games (six starts), all with Chicago, registering 31 total special teams tackles, tied for the most by any Bears special teams contributor over the last four seasons (Hicks). Jones spent the 2025 offseason with the Arizona Cardinals before returning to the Bears before the start of the regular season. Last season, Jones' 12 total special teams stops tied for the third-most by any Chicago special teams contributor, helping the Bears claim an NFC North Division title and reach the NFC Divisional Round. A native of Allen, Texas, Jones prepped at Ole Miss (2016-21), appearing in 50 career games for the Rebels.
