The Chicago Bears have created a DVD called Careers at the Bears, which is meant to serve as a curriculum supplement for high school marketing classes. The DVD provides an overview of the various positions and business areas that exist in a professional sports organization, and features interviews with Bears staff members from several different departments. Each segment provides information about each person’s general job responsibilities and career path, along with footage of them "on the job". "Tales to Tackle" is a reading program geared towards 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and focuses around a notebook that includes photos of Bears players, a list of suggested books, and space for students to track their reading and write book reports. Each child who reads three books per month for the three month period is entered into a random drawing for the chance to win a special "Bears Experience" at Halas Hall in Lake Forest. "Tales to Tackle" is sponsored by ComEd, and is a component of the Chicago Bears Education initiative, which is presented by Chase.
