Biography

PRO CAREER: Started 52-of-71 career games in six seasons with the Denver Broncos (2012-15) and the Chicago Bears (2016-17), producing 439 tackles, 6 sacks, 6 interceptions – including 1 returned for a touchdown – 26 pass breakups, 16 TFLs, 4 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries … led the Broncos in total tackles (275) over his four seasons with the team (2012-15) ... his 125 tackles in 2013 were the most by a Broncos defender since 2007 ... led the Broncos in tackles twice (125 in 2013 & 109 in 2015) … appeared in seven postseason contests with six starts... collected 46 tackles, 1 pass breakup, 2 TFLs and 1 fumble recovery during the playoffs ... won Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos.

2017 SEASON: Started 12 games, recording 91 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 interception, 4 TFLs, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 5 pass breakups... Suspened for game 5... Inactive for Games 9-11.

Led the SEC in tackles during each of his final two seasons... Named National Linebacker of the Year (College Football Performance Awards), second-team All-America (SI.com) and second-team All-SEC as a senior after leading the Wildcats in tackles (143), sacks (3), interceptions (4) and forced fumbles (5)... Totaled a career-high 144 tackles as a junior in 2010 and became the first Kentucky linebacker to earn first-team All-America honors (CollegeFootballNews.com) in addition to receiving first-team All-SEC recognition.

PERSONAL: Three-year starter for Leesburg (Fla.) High School, where he was a third-team all-state selection by the Florida Sportswriters Association following his senior season... Totaled 117 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles on defense in addition to playing quarterback and running back on offense during his final prep campaign... His father, Vincent Hicks, played football at Toledo.
