PRO CAREER:
- Drafted by the Bears in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft (No. 48 overall)
- Started in all 15 games of the 2022 season as a rookie, totaling 103 tackles (73 solo), four QBH, 4.0 sacks, two QBH and one interception
2022 SEASON (Bears):
- Made the start at safety in his first NFL game in the Week 1 victory vs. San Francisco
- Logged the first turnover of the Bears season after scooping up a forced fumble by defensive back Jaylon Johnson, finished the afternoon vs. the 49ers with four tackles (all solo) and one tackle for loss in addition to the fumble recovery
- Played every defensive snap in Week 2, finishing with 10 combined tackles (seven solo)
- Tied for third on the team in tackles against Houston in Week 3, finishing with six combined tackles (four solo)
- In Week 4 at New York, finished with five total tackles (four solo), including his first NFL sack, bringing down quarterback Daniel Jones for a loss of 11 yards with 3:35 remaining in the third quarter
- Became the first Bears rookie defensive back to get to the quarterback in a game since Bryce Callahan did so on Jan. 3, 2016 vs. Detroit
- Finished with five combined tackles (four solo) in Week 5 at Minnesota
- In Week 6, got to Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz in their opening drive in the first quarter (10:00), the first sack of the game for the Bears
- Was his second sack of the season, and he's the first Bears defensive back to record multiple sacks in their rookie season since Al Afalava, who did so in 2009
- Finished with five combined tackles (two solo) in addition to the sack ... In Week 7 at New England, logged his first career interception, picking off Patriots quarterback Mac Jones on a 2nd and 10 with 13:08 remaining in the second quarter to give the Bears their first takeaway of the evening
- Became the first Bears defensive back since Eddie Jackson (two, 2017) to record a pick during their rookie campaign
- Ended the night with seven combined tackles (five solo) and one pass defensed in addition to the pick
- Finished second on the team with nine combined tackles (seven solo) and a sack against the Cowboys in Week 8
- Got to quarterback Dak Prescott with 4:08 remaining in the fourth quarter, which is the third sack of his rookie campaign
- Becomes the first Bears defensive back with three or more sacks in a season since Mike Green and Mike Brown both did so during the 2001 season
