PRO CAREER: Appeared in 73 games with 72 starts (54 at RG, 16 at RT and 1 at LG) in six NFL seasons (2013-18) with Chicago … three-time Pro Bowl selection, becoming first Bears player since Brian Urlacher (2000-02) to be named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three professional football seasons and seventh Bears player to accomplish the feat overall (Long, Urlacher, Sayers, Butkus, Ditka, Casares and Harlon Hill) ... first Bears offensive lineman ever to be named to Pro Bowl in each of his first three professional football seasons … helped pave the way for 1,000-yard rusher four times (M. High School, playing football for head coach John Blake ... competed as a two-way lineman in football and as a left-handed pitcher and first baseman for the baseball team … earned all-state honors in both sports as a sophomore, junior and senior In his last two seasons, he led the football team to back-to-back state championships … in baseball, he was selected in the 23rd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft by the Chicago White Sox, but decided to accept a baseball scholarship to Florida State ... brother, Chris, was a first round draft pick (2nd overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams and father, Howie, was an all-pro defensive end for the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
